The problem
Draught problems in the chimney can occur due to unfavorable weather conditions, an unfavorable positioning of the chimney or a faulty design of the flue gas system. In this case, the flue gases are no longer reliably removed and affect the operational safety of the flue gas system of the fireplace.
The solution
When the natural draft is too weak, the INJEKT chimney fan provides reliable and optimal draft in the chimney again.
Flue gas systems and chimneys must be designed in such a way that the negative pressure required for safe flue gas routing is always present. This makes the INJEKT a safety-relevant component that enables safe acceptance by the chimney sweeper in the event of draught problems.
The mode of operation
The INJEKT chimney fan is mounted on the chimney outlet and creates a safe draught in the chimney thanks to its electric fan.
A special feature of INJEKT is the external technology. The INJEKT uses a fluidic law to arrange all mechanical components outside the cross-section of the stack.
The assembly
The compact dimensions as well as the low weight allow easy mounting on the outlet of all conventional and metal flue gas systems. To control the blower, a power supply line must be laid from the chimney to the fireplace.
The control
The fan of the INJEKT chimney fan can be infinitely varied in speed. This allows you to individually create the necessary draught (e.g. high draught during heating, low draught during glowing). The control can be manual or automatic. Manual control is performed by a speed controller (RS controller), which is well placed in the immediate vicinity of the fireplace.
As a component of the K+W stove control system, it is automatically controlled and only runs when it is needed – at the optimum speed for the respective combustion phase. For maintenance work by the chimney sweeper, the INJEKT chimney fan can be taken out of operation via a service switch directly at the cleaning point. Because the INJEKT chimney fan is only switched on when needed, it is economical in terms of energy consumption.
The INJEKT chimney fan is particularly suitable for fireplaces with solid fuels that are sensitive to draught, e.g.: Wood, pellets, wood chips, etc.
In conjunction with the furnace control system, it is an effective component within the control system for reducing emissions and increasing operational safety. For oil and gas fireplaces, the INJEKT chimney fan can provide a remedy in the event of technical or weather-related flue gas problems; please speak to one of our specialist advisors.
This results in three advantages
- The chimney cross-section remains open and freely accessible for the chimney sweeper.
- The technology is located outside the aggressive and hot flue gases and therefore requires little maintenance.
- The natural draught is maintained. This means that the INJEKT chimney fan does not have to run permanently when there is sufficient draught. The flue gas system remains open even in the case of a power failure and does not obstruct the flow of flue gas.
