Extensive and versatile: chimney cowl accessories
We have a wide range of accessories to round off our product range of high-quality flue gas systems and solutions: from “A” like attachments or cover plates to “Z” like draught stabilisation (Zugstabilisierung in german). In doing so, we serve the most diverse requirements and visual demands of our customers.
Chimney cowl cladding
A chimney cowl cladding has many advantages: it protects against weathering and sooting, reliably ensures the function of the chimney for years, extends the durability and optimises the heating capacity, whether in new construction or retrofitting. Assembly is quick and easy using the dry construction method.
When retrofitting a chimney cowl cladding, it is cleaned, repointed and cladded with a custom-made slip-on cowl. The structural panels of the slip-on cowl sit on struts that are adjusted on the chimney; additional insulation can be fitted in the space between.
A stainless steel cover plate with water drainage edge closes the cladding and drains condensation and rainwater. This protects the construction from humidity and the fireplace is fit again for many years.
Choose from the surface variants slate structure, clinker structure, stainless steel, copper or lightweight concrete, so that the fireplace presents itself to match the house.
Chimney tops
Another measure to protect the chimney from humidity are tops on the chimney cowl. Like a roof, they protect the chimney port from rain and snow. Depending on the design and chimney height, the chimney tops also fulfil other tasks.
In this way, they can protect against wind pressure and thereby regulate the discharge or prevent unwanted deposits from leaves or contamination by birds. You can choose from various models and materials to suit the building. We offer the appropriate solution for every requirement.
You will find further accessories under assortment.
Chimney extensions
Chimney extensions increase the draught in the chimney system. They ensure more stable combustion behaviour and can influence the performance of the flue gas system, for example, in order to respond to changes in the requirements of fireplaces. The chimney height can also be optimised in this way.
Slip-on cowl
A slip-on cowl protects the chimney from water penetration, and the tight connection to the roof surface is created with an lining.
You can choose from various surface finishes. The individually manufactured slip-on cowls are dry-mounted with their various structural options and reliably protect against weathering and sooting.
The Düse EN Plus stabilises the draught in the flue gas system and optimises the burn-off. It is a wind attachment according to EN 1856-1 and rain protection at the same time and is often used in critical wind conditions in the area of the chimney cowl.
For atmospherically operating fireplaces (i.e. the combustion air is not supplied via a fan), it optimises the function of your heating system by ensuring more even combustion. In addition, the operating safety of the heating system is increased, as critical wind conditions hardly have any influence on the smoke outlet any more.
If necessary, even the chimney height can be reduced. For maintenance work, the cap can be removed quickly and easily without tools via quick-release fasteners.
