Zumikron fine dust particle separator for outdoor installation
Maisach, 17 April 2023 – Kutzner + Weber, a company of the Raab Group, is launching two new models on the market: the Zumikron Outdoor Top and Zumikron Outdoor DW fine dust separators. They are based on the Airjekt 1, but differ from it in terms of performance class and control. They are suitable for single room combustion systems up to 14.9 kW and have a compact, weatherproof control unit that simplifies outdoor installation.
Fine dust, which is produced during the combustion of natural wood and pellets, can be efficiently reduced with the Zumikron. For this purpose, it uses the proven principle of electrostatic precipitation. The particles become electrically charged, they combine and condense and deposit on the inside of the flue pipe or chimney. There they can be removed without any problems. With this principle, a separation efficiency of up to 90 % can be achieved.
Quick installation
Both models can be easily integrated into flue systems, both in new build and in existing chimneys. The Zumikron Outdoor Top version is mounted on the chimney top. The separator unit with electrode is attached to the T-piece with a flange plate. For brick chimneys, the supplied square screw plate is used for mounting. A slide-in adapter can be used for round inner pipes made of ceramic or stainless steel.
The Zumikron Outdoor DW is intended for installation in double-walled flue systems. For this purpose, the specialist installs a double-walled T-piece above the combustion connection, which accommodates the Zumikron.
In operation
The weatherproof control unit is mounted outdoors. Power is supplied by means of a 230 V/50 Hz power connection. The Zumikron switches on automatically with the help of a temperature sensor. Maintenance and cleaning can be carried out easily by removing the separator unit.
The models are available in nominal widths of 150, 180 and 200 mm. They are approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) under No. Z-7.4-3545.

The Zumikron Outdoor Top can be installed directly at the chimney mouth. It is suitable for chimneys made of masonry as well as with ceramic or metallic inner pipes.
