When it gets really tight.
Due to the sometimes very small space conditions in boiler rooms, silencer solutions with standard products are not always possible. Here, specially designed silencers are used, which, for example, have to be designed at certain angles or have their connections at a specified position.
The Kutzner + Weber production is well prepared for these market requirements and has already realised many a “creative” silencer solution.
The concentric flue gas silencers
Supply air and flue gas all in one.
These silencers have been specially developed for installation in concentric flue gas systems with a nominal width of 80/125 mm. The construction of the actual muffling compound corresponds to that of the passive silencers of the AGM model series. They are double-walled so that the combustion air can be drawn in through the annular gap and are designed for condensing boiler systems, among others. They have a condensate drain as standard.
Range of use:
- For nominal width 80/125 mm
- Concentric design
- Suitable for LAS operation
The reactive resonators
A special solution needs little space.
Reactive resonators can be used to reduce individual, protruding level peaks. These resonators are flanged to the side either on a T-piece or on a passive silencer.
The reactive resonators are designed without fibre material and are therefore wear-free, maintenance-free and robust.
Benefits:
- For reducing level peaks up to 10 dB
- For low frequencies up to max. 400 Hz
- Extremely small space requirement
The passive silencers for large systems
Large nominal widths also possible.
The silencers of the ARE model series are designed for large systems and are available from a nominal diameter of 400 mm.
Structure
The damping material consists of mineral fibre. This mineral fibre is protected from abrasion by a stainless steel fleece. Perforated sheeting is used for shaping and stability. The bases of the silencers are welded to the shell. This means that these silencers can be used for larger overpressures. A condensate drain is included as standard.
Mode of operation
The mineral fibre used by Kutzner + Weber has a very fine and open-pored structure. The noise reduction in the passive silencers is achieved by the fact that the sound releases its energy through friction on its way through these fibres. In order to find the optimal mineral fibre, various types were acoustically tested according to DIN EN 29053-B at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, whereby the flow resistance was determined.
Silencing properties
The passive silencers are particularly suitable for reducing the sound level of medium and high frequencies. Their optimum damping power is available between 1000 and 2000 Hz.
Range of use
The silencers of the ARE model series are suitable for use with all standard furnaces and can be used without restriction with condensing boiler systems.
