Structure
These flue gas silencers of the AGM type series are porous absorbers (mineral fibre). The mineral fibre is protected from abrasion by a stainless steel fleece. The expanded metal ensures permanent dimensional stability.
The bases of the silencers can be removed and extended with the appropriate modules. All silencers are equipped with a condensate drain, which must always be connected.
Passive silencer AGM
The mineral fibre used by Kutzner + Weber has a very fine and open-pored structure. The sound reduction in the passive silencers is achieved by the sound giving off its energy through friction on its way through these fibres. In order to find the optimal Minaral fibre, various types were acoustically tested at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics.
Silencing properties
The passive silencers are particularly suitable for reducing the sound level of medium and high frequencies. Their optimum damping power is available between 1000 and 2000 Hz. With longer construction lengths, low frequencies can also be attenuated.
The silencers of the AGM model series are suitable for use with all standard furnaces and they can be used without restriction with condensing boiler systems.
- Overpressure-tight up to 1000 Pa
- Flue gas temperature up to 400 °C
- Nominal widths 80 to 350 mm
- Outlet silencer with adapted mounting possible
- Improved silencing due to elbow design
- For small spaces
- Modular design: Hydrophobic, condensation-resistant mineral fibre
- Acoustically tested mineral fibre according to DIN EN 29053-B (flow resistance)

Advantages of modular construction:
- Optimal utilisation of the available space
- For increased silencing requirements, the silencers can be extended
- By specifically selecting the silencing technology, precisely the disturbing frequencies can be attenuated
